Coming Up at FUMC Henderson

  • The Story

We are excited to be doing The Story Church Experience. All the fun begins Sunday, October 3rd. We will be following the book, The Story, which consists of 31 chapters of carefully-selected scriptures sequenced in chronical order, and presents the word of God in an engaging format, reading like a novel. Plan to join us and follow along to understand God’s story from Genesis to Revelation, and how your own stories intersect with God’s.

Beginning on September 29th, Pastor Mike Mayhugh will begin an adult Bible study to go along with The Story Church Campaign, available at 10:00am and 6:00pm on the second floor each Wednesday.

  • Beating Hearts

The Beating Hearts is a support group for women that have lost their spouse. It's open to all ages and it doesn't matter how long it's been since your loss. We will have different speakers each session. Some of our topics this fall will be:  Social security benefits, legal matters, counseling is a choice and surviving the holidays. Join us in a casual and comfortable setting to help you with your journey. Monday nights in the Parlor, beginning October 4th thru November 8th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

  • Come Join us!

Psalm 100 charges us to “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!” Being a part of a corporate body that worships is essential to the life and experience of the Christian Faith. What better way to use your gifts and talents to celebrate and glorify God than by making a joyful noise with the Chancel Choir on Thursday’s at 6:00pm, or with the Common Ground Band on Wednesday’s at 5:00pm.

  • Men's Ministry

The next Men’s Virtual Gathering will be on Thursday, October 21st at 6:30pm and Saturday, October 23rd at 8:00am both via zoom. (Meeting ID: 885 8814 3147  Passcode: 901178) For more information, contact Robert Wright at (817)975-8046 or 1umcmethodistmen@gmail.com.
