  • BACK TO SCHOOL SUNDAY

    Join us Sunday, August 21st, for what has become our annual “Blessing of the Backpacks,” as we celebrate the beginning of a new school year.  We will recognize students and teachers in both services.

  • TUESDAY NIGHT BASKETBALL

    Join us on Tuesday nights, we will have basketball in the Great Hall from 6-8 pm for ages high school and up.  Join us for lots of fun!

  • FRIENDS PARENT MEETING

    Parents of FUMC children please join me on Wednesday, August 24th at 6:00 pm in the Great Hall.  We will discuss our plans for children’s ministry for the 2016-2017 school year including our new Wednesday night format.  Please don’t miss this important meeting.  - Debbie Tipps.

  • MOVE FOR LIFE

    MOVE FOR LIFE will resume September 5th and end November 11th. We meet from 9:00 am to 9:45 am in the Great Hall on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. (We don't observe holidays.)


    If you have never participated before and would like to join or know more about the class, please call Mary Schoomer at (903)657-6447. We hope to see you there!

  • ANNUAL FAMILY FISH FRY & GAME TIME

    (Sponsored by the Family Life Ministry)  Please come and enjoy some great fellowship and fried catfish with all the trimmings on Sunday,   September 11th, beginning with game time at 3:30 pm in the Great Hall.  Everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite board games (checkers, Connect Four, etc.) and dominoes to play prior to the fish feast.  The meal will be served around 5pm.  A huge thanks to Gerald Roper and his crew for providing and cooking the fish!
